The original New York Medical College (Metropolitan) Emergency Medicine Program was the first EM program in Manhattan and the second oldest program in the state of New York. As of February 1995, this program has existed as a new program. We offer a three-year residency that is committed to training residents who will graduate with a high degree of academic and clinical competence.
The faculty members of the NYMC (Metropolitan) Program and I are committed to providing the highest quality education, promoting an environment conducive to academic and personal growth.
One of the greatest strengths of our program is the cultural diversity of patient populations, medical practice patterns, and the residents and faculty that work here. The residents have the opportunity to participate in patient care in different emergency medicine practice settings, which include the primary clinical site of Metropolitan Hospital Center in Manhattan as well as Westchester Medical Center and Harlem Hospital Center.
We hope you seriously consider our residency program and look forward to connecting with you this interview season.
